Located
2.5 miles east from Coot's Lake is the massive, turn of the century railroad
tunnel under Brushy Mountain Road. This section of the trail is not crowded.

hills exposing impressive rock formations. This part of the trail makes
a worthwhile day trip.
The Silver Comet Trail parking lot is next to Coot's Lake Beach. Coot's
Lake Beach is open for swimming during the summer. This large section
of trail connects Mt. Olivet Road in Dallas to Downtown Rockmart.
