 WHEEL
CHAIR ACCESSIBLE: The parking lot connects to the trail. Heading east,
there is a red light crossing at Floyd Road and the trail. The trail travels
west through Powder Springs.
- Take
I-285 to exit number 15-South Cobb Drive. South Cobb Drive exit is near
mile marker 14 on I-285. South Cobb Drive is Hwy. 280/ Smyrna/ Chattahoochee
Tech. Go outside the perimeter away from the large smokestack, onto
South Cobb Drive.
- Go to the East-West
Connector located at mile marker 2 on South Cobb Drive.
- Turn left on the
East-West Connector and pass under the historic bridges.
- Floyd Road is a
big intersection (East-West Connector and Floyd Road)
- Turn left and the
Silver Comet Trail will cross Floyd Road about .5 miles down.
- The parking lot
is on the right, past the Silver Comet-Floyd Road red light.
The Silver Comet
Depot is now open for bike and skate rentals, soft drinks and snacks,
and lessons and sales. This shop is located directly off the Silver Comet
